Art is the language of experience. . . effigies of our journeys. My journey and the art portrayed from it speak layered in metaphorical trials about confronting discrimination and injustices of structural boundaries.
Creatively, this manifests -even if only symbolic in nature- by dismantling ordinary frameworks. For example, I deconstruct the technological boundaries of websites, reshaping interactions and beliefs of how they can and should be used.
STARLIGHT is the embodiment of the aforementioned. Planned for late 2023, it will be a new psychologically immersive series of digital works. Self-Categorization
People conform to the norms of certain social groups when they have a personal desire to feel like they belong to that group. It doesn’t matter whether a norm reflects people’s preference, as long as the behaviour is associated with the group.
